Press Opportunities - Ideas to Help Plan a Public Relations Campaign- Pre-Show

A) Issue Press Releases

One of the easiest ways to gain valuable pre-show publicity is to issue press releases to trade publications. Industry trade publications are always looking for new product & service information. If used, your release can alert thousands of potential buyers about your company’s exhibit—where you can be found, the product lines you carry, and new products you may be introducing. To increase the likelihood of your material being used, write and prepare your release as a reporter would write a story. See the sample on the next page. Include a high resolution product photo and caption with your release whenever possible.

B) Create A Press Kit

A press kit is a collection of publicity materials—which typically include: Company background information; New product releases; Product line summaries; Specification/catalog sheets; Editorial reproductions/case histories; Photos (high resolution 300 dpi or higher); Business cards and Booth Number.
